Analysts Tab Packers vs. Dolphins Week 13 as Must Watch

There is a lot of excitement and optimism surrounding the Green Bay Packers. After a surprisingly good 2023 campaign, many analysts are expecting them to take that next step forward in 2024.

The opportunities to cement themselves as true contenders in the NFC will be there. The Packers are facing several high-profile opponents, which will give quarterback Jordan Love a chance to cement his status as one of the up-and-coming stars of the league.

One of those big matchups will be coming on Thanksgiving Day. The Packers drew the holiday nightcap, as they will be hosting the Miami Dolphins at Lambeau Field. In the opinion of beat writer Matt Schneidman of The Athletic, that is the one must-watch game for Green Bay fans this season.

This is the Thanksgiving night game at Lambeau Field. That alone is enough reason for this to be must-watch. Add in that it’s the high-powered Dolphins and this would be an intriguing game no matter where or when it takes place. So waddle (pun intended) on over to your couch after dinner and enjoy this one with a nice plate of pumpkin pie,” Schneidman wrote.

A quarterback matchup of Love vs. Tua Tagovailoa is enough to get most fans interested. The Packers and Dolphins are both going to be fighting for playoff spots in their respective conferences, making this matchup an important one.

Also for Green Bay, this game is the start of a critical stretch of their season. It is the first of four consecutive stand-alone games the team will play, with two Thursday night games, one on Sunday night and one on Monday night.

All of the games are against playoff contenders. After the game against the Dolphins, the Packers head on the road to face the Detroit Lions and Seattle Seahawks before hosting the New Orleans Saints. Those games could very well decide the team’s fate in 2024, as they face one of the toughest schedules in the NFL.
