Reports are flying about who AC Milan may select to be their next head coach, and today, some information has been revealed about their thoughts regarding one of their targets.

With Stefano Pioli set to oversee his last Milan game this weekend, the Rossoneri have involuntarily entered themselves into a crucial part of the managerial search. With no named successor and a mercato opening shortly, there is a need for the club to find the next face of their project.

Of course, the club can operate in the market with no manager at the helm, but this would ideally be avoided if possible. Especially when the targets have been identified, it is now a case of selection.

Today, L’Equipe (via Radio Rossonera) reports that Milan are stuck, though, at least in regards to Paulo Fonseca. The Portuguese manager has remained heavily linked to the post, but he reportedly divides the management.

L’Equipe continues, stating that the Diavolo may have an advantage over teams like Marseille, but his name ‘does not find unanimity, especially with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who prefers Mark van Bommel‘. It is stated that this could be a bluff or even a strategy, but the time for strategies and bluffs is closing, with confirmation of Pioli’s departure arriving shortly.
